# Year 11 Maths Mock Exams - November 2020

Dear Parents/Guardian,

I am writing to inform you that November your child will be taking part in mock examinations. They are a valuable opportunity for students to experience exams and identify gaps in knowledge. This is so they can become better prepared for the summer examinations.

Students will be completing three 1hr 30min papers in Maths. Papers 2 and 3 require the use of a calculator.

Students without a calculator are able to purchase the most up to date CASIO calculator from the school for £5.

These exams will provide a valuable insight into how your child is currently doing in this subject.

Each student has already been given an AQA revision guide and supporting workbook at either higher or foundation tier. These cover the entire Mathematics curriculum and also include a full set of practise papers.

Below is a detailed revision list for each Maths paper. Students should make good use of their revision guide and workbook, alongside revision websites Mathswatch and OnMaths.

Please discuss the revision list and revision guides with your child with an aim for sufficient revision to begin. It is important that students revise for these exams so that they provide a true reflection of their potential outcomes in GCSE Maths.
